Role Overview As a Student Construction Manager with MMD Construction, you will support our site and project management teams in delivering exciting construction projects. This placement provides a unique opportunity to develop your project management skills by working on live construction sites. You will gain exposure to planning, resource management, safety compliance, and coordinating site activities. Through this hands-on experience, you will gain a better understanding of the entire project lifecycle, enhancing your management and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning: Assist in developing and updating project schedules, timelines, and milestones.Resource Management: Work closely with the site manager to coordinate labour, equipment, and materials.Health & Safety: Monitor site safety standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.Quality Assurance: Support quality control initiatives, ensuring all work meets MMD standards and specifications.Communication: Help facilitate communication between the project team, contractors, and stakeholders.Learning Outcomes Gain practical experience in construction project management.Develop leadership and problem-solving skills in a live project environment.Understand how to manage project timelines, resources, and budgets.Learn how to coordinate complex site operations and teams effectively.Build knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance in construction.Requirements Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, or a related field.Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage time, tasks, and priorities.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project or similar tools is advantageous.Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Initiative: Proactive and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.Please send a copy of your CV and Cover Letter to ******
