Substation Electrical Design Manager – Dublin

Euro Executive Recruitment has been retained to recruit a Substation Electrical Design Manager for a utility infrastructure consultancy and construction company, operating extensively within the utilities sector in Ireland, the UK and internationally. Reporting directly to Group Directors, this position would ideally suit a Senior Engineer who is keen to take the next step in their engineering career. The role will be based out of our clients Dublin operations and will offer hybrid working conditions. Occasional site visits (3 or 4 per month) will be required by the successful candidate.
The Role:Design report compilationDesign reviewQuality assurance complianceISO HSQE standards implementationPeer review of draft reports/drawings/documentation to ensure the highest levels of quality before formal issue.Detailed analysis of design packages as preparedWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the design of transmission and distribution networksAssisting in the compilation and assessment of Tender SubmissionsRequirements:Minimum Degree qualified – Electrical Engineering (NFQ Level 8)Relevant industry experience though not essential, would be an advantage.Strong technical and design ability essentialStrong IT skills required. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage, but training will be provided where necessary.Excellent team worker with effective communication and interpersonal skillsA flexible approach to work & full drivers licence will be requiredFormal report writing and professional presentation of work essential.
