What you will do: Lead an NPD production team to ensure targets/KPIs for quality, service, costs, and people development are achieved.Ensure quality standards and expectations are communicated and deployed, including rework, scrap, line clearance, QA audits, and cell/value stream shutdown.Manage and prioritize project/production builds to meet customer (project team) requirements and maintain inventory levels, along with appropriate operational metric reporting.Attend regular meetings to provide operational updates to NPD cross-functional teams based in Ireland and the USA.Set the team and individuals up for success by providing NPD training, coaching, feedback, and support.Create a positive employee relations environment and facilitate high engagement within the production team and with the cross-functional team.Provide timely feedback and ensure all performance issues are dealt with in a constructive, fair, and prompt manner, treating all employees with fairness and respect.Facilitate open two-way communications regarding individual, team, and company performance through weekly team meetings and daily interactions on the line to optimize efficiency and productivity.Liaise with training to develop and implement training curriculums and team training plans.Participate in the selection and hiring of Production Operators.Maintain GMP / 6S at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.Lead/participate in continuous improvement activities, e.g., Lean/Cost Reduction initiatives.Ensure Time and Attendance system compliance and effective Annual Leave and Overtime planning.Provide leadership and direction for the advancement of Lean Manufacturing with a focus on commercial readiness.All other duties as assigned.What you need: Required Degree or master's in business, Production Management, Engineering, or a similar discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience.Minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.Desired 2 years of supervisory experience preferable.Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of a production environment.Usually works with a minimum of supervision, conferring with leaders on unusual matters. Expectation is that working on projects will have more changing demands and priorities over a commercial line.Demonstrated leadership aptitude to work with people and set direction as part of a cross-functional team.Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, and health and safety.Genuine interest in investing in people and facilitating individual and team engagement and development.Ability to coach, provide effective feedback, and manage performance.Problem-solving methodology experience required with process knowledge desirable.Can interpret and analyze information and translate it into operational actions.The production supervisor (NPD) needs to stay current on issues and best practices within base business production to ensure those are considered on new product programs.Excellent influencing and communication skills.
