Our client has ambitious growth plans and now requires a Supply Chain Manager to join their team and help to scale the business for a global market while supporting the supply chain function at their site in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary (close to Limerick City).
The successful candidate will be joining a team alongside renowned industry leaders in a young, fast growing clean tech company.
Job Type:Full-time/Permanent Reports to:Chief Operating Officer The Role: The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics operations.
This includes both planning and hands-on execution responsibilities, as part of a growing start-up organisation.
The key areas of responsibility are: Establish supply chains for chemicals & consumables in the EU, US and other markets Manage international logistics and shipping for all products, dealing with all associated trade compliance responsibilities Negotiate contracts for products and services Source new vendors and benchmarking prices from existing vendors This role will be part of an Operations Leadership Team and will work collaboratively across functions to deliver the shared goals of the business.
Responsibilities: Forecast demand and create supply plans to meet customer requirements while minimizing costs and inventory levels Management of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and associated operations planning Manage the supply chain to ensure the manufacture, distribution, support and maintenance of the company's products and consumables Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the best value, quality, and delivery performance.
Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management.
Management of 3rd party contract manufacturers Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms Benchmark pricing to maintain competitive cost of goods and services Develop & manage the logistics and distribution network to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods and consumables across multiple territories Establish consumable supply solutions to selected markets Optimise transportation and warehouse operations to improve service levels and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with all international trade regulation, including import/export laws, customs regulations and trade agreements.
Identify key metrics to communicate supply chain performance and drive improvement Flexibility & Teamwork: Our client is a young & growing organisation where priorities can change rapidly in respond to business and customer needs.
Colleagues are required to show agility and support each other across functions as required.
This can include both task and project responsibilities.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Note: Other educational backgrounds may be considered if supported by significant applicable experiences Experience: 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of managing and optimising end-to-end supply chain processes.
Strong knowledge and experience of negotiating commercial contracts Experience in managing 3rd party contract manufacturers Skills and Competencies: Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities.
Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
