Supply Planner (12 month FTC) Private Label (NorthStar Cork) Reporting directly to the Planning and Inventory Supervisor, this position is responsible for planning and scheduling of licensed pharmaceutical products, in compliance with cGMPs and US FDA regulations.
The post holder will be responsible for inventory management and product supply from a number of different suppliers with production plants located throughout Europe, Asia, China, and North America and across a number of markets i.e.
US, Europe, Canada.
This will include developing and maintaining positive supplier relations, tracking supplier performance and service level.
The post holder will be responsible for providing suppliers with monthly delivery forecasts, determining order quantities in line with inventory strategies, avoiding supply disruptions and maintaining service levels.
Responsibilities: Develop and manage inventory in line with inventory strategies as agreed with the commercial team and where appropriate, recommend and implement model changes.Determine mode of transport for shipments in line with business strategy, minimize amount transported by air and track and monitor reason for air.Develop and maintain positive relations with suppliers to maintain inventory levels at agreed levels and avoid supply disruptions.Track suppliers' deliveries on a weekly basis ensuring that current delivery timelines are maintained in NorthStar systems and the impact of changes are evaluated in a timely manner, and where necessary appropriate actions are taken to minimize any potential supply disruption.Agree and monitor suppliers' delivery dates and record reasons for date changes.Maintain and update planning systems, i.e., SQL database, SAP, and IBP with current and accurate data, including the addition of new orders, changes to delivery dates, and quantities.Pallet configurations are maintained and approved, in accordance with standard operating procedures.Provide monthly forecasts to suppliers within the agreed timelines, recognizing the drivers for changes and if required, to be in a position to explain changes to different stakeholders.Perform monthly suppliers' MRPs and associated reports, including generation of global inventory reports for US, UK, European, and Canadian markets as required.Develop strong knowledge of products and suppliers such that issues can be identified as early as possible and be able to add value to resolving supply issues.Work closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure excellent communications and efficiencies, i.e., full container loads, pick-up date synchronized with sailing date.Generate key department business metrics.Comply with NorthStar quality processes and systems.Evaluate suppliers' ability to supply new and incremental opportunities in a timely manner and to be able to display and communicate this to management.Track suppliers' performance, identifying potential issues and implementing remedial actions.Issue purchase orders to the suppliers on time and agree on dates within agreed timelines.Develop and maintain long-term relationships with contract manufacturers and internal/external customers.Support technical support in the delivery of quality in the supply chain.
Provide visibility to product quality of batch priorities.Support and adhere to changes in systems, processes, and policies to ensure consistency with company philosophy and culture.Support new supply chain concepts in an attempt to increase competitiveness and maximize the use of systems.Develop, support, and deliver company/department goals and objectives as required.Education/Training: Educated to degree level in a business/supply chain related discipline.
IIPMM/APIC qualification is desirable.
A thorough knowledge of MRP and inventory management is a prerequisite.
Experience in the use of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Good working knowledge of Excel (intermediate/advanced level) is essential.
Knowledge and Skills: 5 years experience in a similar type of role within a multinational organization.
Experience of working in a quality regulated manufacturing environment would be an advantage.Has an understanding of FDA regulatory requirements in relation to Supply Chain.Additional Knowledge and Skills: Excellent knowledge of planning and scheduling activities processes, including ERP systems such as SAP.Ability to multitask, understand the priority, and make recommendations to management based on knowledge and judgment.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. Our Base Pay Range for this position €48,500 - €80,900
