We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Support Worker (Nursing Unit) to join our team in Ballintemple, Cork.
Contract Type: Specified Purpose Contract
Contract Hours: 21.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €32,639 - €39,499 pro rata per annum (based on Full-time). For part-time hours and term-time post (€15,225 - €18,425).
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum for part-time hours and term time post and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview of the Post: The role of the Support Worker is to work as part of a dedicated and innovative team to provide individualised services to children with disabilities who attend the School of the Divine Child.

The successful candidate will have: QQI Level 5 Major Award in one of the following:Social CarePre Nursing(8 modules to include one module on special needs/disability studies/challenging behaviour or a commitment to complete one of these modules within 6-months of commencement)ORYear 1 of a relevant degree programme in Health and Social Care (such as Social Care, Child Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy)ANDFull Clean Manual Driving Licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.ANDBe eligible to work in the state.Experience of supporting people with disabilities.Experience of working with people with behaviours of concern.Experience of providing personal care.Basic IT skills.If you believe you would fit the role then please submit your application today.
