WESTMEATH RESIDENTIAL SERVICES SUPPORT WORKERS VARIOUS CONTRACTS We are seeking to recruit motivated, creative and energetic support workers to join our Residential Services team.
The focus of the role will be to lead initiatives in supporting the individuals to live a life of their choosing and what matters most to them.
The role will support the individuals to become connected and valued within their local community, to provide opportunities for new experiences and to assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles and also have experience in supporting individuals with communication needs and those who may display behaviours of concern and will have experience of person centred planning and knowledge of person directed and individualised support approaches.

Requirements: FETAC/QQI level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support/Health Service Skills; Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism; Experience of supporting individuals with a broad range of support needs including behaviours of concern; · A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland;

Adaptable and open communication skills - written and verbal; Supportive, dependable team player; Experience in and commitment to supporting individuals to connect with their local community; Self-Awareness; Excellent interpersonal, organisational, logistical and IT skills; Flexibility to work across all locations, move location at short notice and to fulfil all shifts and rotating/changing shift patterns including day, waking nights, sleepovers; Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role. In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents' homes and across a variety of locations if required.
