Surgical Ward Nurse

PE Global Healthcare are delighted to assist their client to recruit senior care workers for a residential unit based in Killarney Co Kerry. The client provides quality services to adults with physical, sensory, and neurological disabilities at a medium and high level of need.

Permanent 30 Hour / Week contract

The Role The senior care worker will lead and support the care support team while the team supports Service User's in all aspects of their daily lives and activities. The post holder will co-ordinate, plan and manage the day-to-day care plans while adhere to good practice and ensuring all Health Safety Regulations are adhered. The post holder will be required to establish and maintain relationships with the people we support that are based on respect and equality and that promote their rights and independence. It is critical that when undertaking your work that you do so in a manner that is consistent with the client's values, operating ethos, and standards.

Candidate Requirements: Hold or be in the process of undertaking a minimum of QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or a minimum of QQI Level 6 Social Care or a Nursing qualification. Supervisory qualification desirable but not essential. A minimum of 3 years Healthcare experience. Can demonstrate evidence-based decision-making skills. Hold or be working towards gaining a Full Manual Driving license and willingness to drive for work. Benefits Flexibility in working hours. Sick pay benefit. Company Pension Scheme. Maternity benefit.
