Grow here.    At AECOM we are currently recruiting for a Sustainability Data Analyst to join us at our Dublin office.
Here's what you'll do:  Your day-to-day will include but not be limited to the following tasks and responsibilities; AECOM  are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability   Data Analyst with a passion for sustainability to join their Workplace Sustainability and Engineering team.
This role will be critical in managing, analyzing, and reporting sustainability data, helping to drive progress on our corporate sustainability goals.
The Data Analyst will collaborate across teams, manage executive data visualizations in Power BI, and own their energy management platform.
They will also support corporate sustainability reporting efforts, including their  annual reporting requirements and our intervention roadmap aligned with the 2030 Corporate Commitments.
Data Collection & Management: Gather, clean, and manage large datasets related to sustainability metrics (e.g., carbon emissions, water usage, waste management, energy consumption).
Develop and maintain databases to support sustainability initiatives, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Incorporate key site features/amenities and MEP infrastructure into databases Manage the 2030 Corporate Commitments Roadmap, tracking progress, conducting self-audits, and identifying areas for intervention to ensure targets are met.
Take ownership of our energy management platform (BuildingOS), ensuring accurate data integration and reporting, and work closely with Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) vendors to optimize data collection and performance tracking.
Analysis and Reporting: Analyze sustainability data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting using Excel, providing insights on sustainability and engineering data (e.g., modeled energy vs. actual, carbon emissions, water and waste impacts, etc.)
Support the parent company annual sustainability reporting, ensuring data accuracy through quarterly Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews in collaboration with the Global Sustainability and compliance teams.
Conduct extract, transform and load (ETL) data process to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards/visualizations that communicate sustainability performance to executives and key stakeholders.
Facilitate data requests that inform engineering scopes of work Develop normalized baselines and comparisons to industry-expected values to support project prioritization Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with the Workplace Data & Analytics Team to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, providing visibility into key sustainability metrics and performance for executives.
Present data-driven insights to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to inform strategic decision-making.
Perform routine data quality checks and collaborate with data owners to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Stay current on sustainability trends, benchmarks, and best practices in data management and reporting.
Track planned and completed site interventions to support planning     Qualifications Ready to push the limits of what's possible?  Here's what we're looking for:  As the successful candidate, you will have experience working within sustainability markets along with having the following qualifications and experience.
BA/BS degree in Data Science, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of full-time experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Sustainability Analyst in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks, corporate sustainability targets, and QA/QC processes.
