Job DescriptionOur client is a market leading engineering consultancy for end-user Clients, Developers, Main Contractors and Design and Build / PPP Contractors.
With offices in Dublin, London, Northern Ireland and Middle East, they work with clients in providing tailored Mechanical & Electrical design services on new build and refurbishment projects which comply with the latest energy regulations, are sustainable in design and operation, and are cost-effective.Management of projectsDevelop and manage client relationships (Internally and Externally)Present evidence of completing the assessment processUnderstand and apply the current and proposed Irish sustainability related legislation to project solutions(Building regulations, Local Planning Policy)Undertake LEED BD+C & ID+C Assessments across commercial schemesUndertake BREEAM International Assessments across commercial schemesAdvise clients on all areas of sustainable design and provide solutionsManage sustainability contributions from varying design stakeholdersPrepare thorough, high quality, technical reports which in a clear concise manner, communicate any issues and conclusionsBe able to take a high level initial project/ work brief which is successful managed and converted into a completed project which meets the demands and criteria of client and original specificationIdentify areas which utilises a lead which converts to business opportunity and referrals through new and existing clientsLiaise with clients and project teamsRequirementsAt least 3 years' experience as a sustainability engineer or related position with engineering consultancies Solid degree in Architecture /Engineering/ Environmental/ Sustainability or related subjectWorking toward or reached Chartership – Engineer/ Scientist or Environmentalist or member of RIAI / RIBAQualifications in the following; but not limited to: LEED AP BD&C / ID+C, BREEAM AP + WELL AP Desirable, Home Performance Index (HPI)Experience with environmental lifecycle assessments and whole life costing desirableKnowledge of Irish planning legislationPackageSalary €40k - €60K and negotiable depending on level of experiencePermanent Staff Role
