Position DescriptionThe Sustainability Performance Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the alignment of sustainability objectives with overall business goals. This role is instrumental in providing data analysis, reporting, and project support to ensure effective integration of sustainability considerations across Business Units. By facilitating collaboration and communication, the Sustainability Performance Analyst contributes to achieving sustainability targets and enhancing organisational performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesSustainability Planning, Targets & ForecastsCollaborate with Business Units in completing sustainability plans, targets and forecasts and also consolidation of group sustainability plans, targets & forecasts.Sustainability AnalysisGather and analyse sustainability data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.Assist in evaluating sustainability initiatives against strategic goals.Completing quarterly & annual sustainability analysis.Project AssistanceAssist in conducting sustainability impact assessments for new projects and initiatives.Provide support for sustainability-related projects, including research, data analysis, and documentation.Assist in tracking milestones, deliverables, and budgets.Maintain Sustainability Risk RegisterIdentify, assess, and document sustainability-related risks.Maintain a risk register to track and manage potential issues.Review and Maintain Sustainability PoliciesRegularly review and update sustainability policies to align with changing standards, regulations, and organisational goals.Collaborate on drafting improvement opportunities and action plans based on insights gathered from sustainability data analysis.Contribute ideas for enhancing sustainability performance and reporting efficiency.Experience and QualificationsPrimary degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Engineering, Data Analysis or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, project management, or sustainability-related roles.Proficient in analysing performance data, identifying trends, variances, and insights.Skilled in managing KPI reports, analysing data, and implementing improvements.Excellent communicator, conveying information to stakeholders through various channels.Effective collaborator, adept at working with colleagues from diverse Business Units.Strong project management capabilities ensuring tasks are executed within constraints.Proficient research skills to gather, analyse, and synthesise information supporting decision-making and innovation.Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations.LocationThis position will be based in ESB Head Office, Fitzwilliam 27, Dublin 2.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual. Reporting ToThis role reports to the Sustainability Performance Analysis Manager.
