Sustainability Regulatory & Reporting Standards Advisor Location/Office Policy: Molesworth Street, Dublin / Hybrid

Can you assist AIB to ensure that all its banking licences are compliant with sustainability regulations? Do you have demonstrable experience with Sustainability/Regulatory Reporting/ Compliance/Legal? Can you engage with internal teams on new regulation or amendments? What is the Role: Sustainable Finance is also becoming a regulatory imperative.
New EU legislation will greatly accelerate Sustainable Finance reporting, transparency, and disclosure in the Financial Services Sector.
The role is an opportunity to play a significant part in meeting AIB strategic objectives and will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to influence AIB's approach to meeting its regulatory requirements and voluntary commitments in this fast-growing area.

This role reports directly to the Sustainability Regulatory & Reporting Standards Advisory manager – Group Strategy and Sustainability.
The regulatory environment is complex in nature and size.
This role covers the current sustainability reporting & disclosure requirements (mandatory and voluntary) on the Sustainability Transformation programme, including any amendments to same and forward looking in terms of new requirements and regulations such as CRR, Pillar 3, EBA Q&A, EU Taxonomy, and CSRD.

Key accountabilities: Set up and lead out on frequent meetings with the Sustainability and Strategy teams and other AIB functions, to assist interpretation (regulatory gap analysis), provide support and discuss changes in regulations, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and Pillar 3. Track & liaise with AIB Compliance teams to get up to date Horizons (ROI, ROI Legal, UK, US) and update sustainability monitoring tool for same. Track & liaise with the regulatory Change forum for the department. Track & participate in industry meetings with the Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI) and EBF, relevant regulators and manage AIB's responses to Consultation Papers (CP). Assist manager to engage with the CBI/ECB/SSM/PRA on new regulation or amendments to regulation to ensure correct interpretation and application of same. What you Will Bring: 3+ years' experience in an ESG related environment, as part of a Financial Services/Banking Institution, for a regulatory body or in an advisory, transformation, change, law, or business consulting capacity. Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage numerous tasks with competing priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven experience of teamwork and managing relationships with stakeholders. Be a self-starter, with a strong work ethic, who can either work independently or as part of a small, close-knit team. Understanding, experience, or interest in ESG related banking regulations, directives, standards and guidelines.
