The Amazon Prime Video team is seeking a Support Engineer to improve workflows, reduce manual workload through application development and process automation.
The candidate will develop production applications and services to ensure a positive customer experience that is in line with Amazon business objectives.
They have an understanding and empathy for Amazon's customers and business objectives, particularly those aspects relevant to the team and division (where "division" is an organization which can include about 150 people).
The Systems Development engineer will continually align their work with Amazon's business objectives and seek to deliver business value.
They proactively and continually improve their level of knowledge about Amazon's business and relevant technologies.
They regularly work across multiple teams to resolve issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, RubyExperience with tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)3+ years of DevOps or SysOps experience in a large-scale software development environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of and proficiency in the use of Python scripting languageExperience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systemsExperience with distributed operational health and performance monitoring systemsExperience with iterative, agile development methodologies (including scrum)Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
