As a System Development Engineer, you will be a core member of the Ring firmware development team, focusing on one or more aspects of technical domain and collaborating with global talents to deliver and drive continuous improvement to delight neighborhoods. The ideal candidate would be passionate about building IOT products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
We are looking for a talented System Development Engineer to optimize the system design and continuously enhance the performance of Ring products. Your role involves close partnership with product management, hardware, backend, quality assurance, customer support, and external solution providers. It's essential to be agile, adaptable, and thrive in a transparent, team-oriented setting. The Ring firmware team shoulders the responsibility of ensuring an optimal user experience across the Ring product range.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experienceExtensive embedded development experience in C/C++, familiar with ARM CPUs and operating systems like Linux or FreeRTOSExperience with development tools like Git version control systemExperience with peripheral driver development and hands-on experience using oscilloscope and logic analyzer to debug system issues5+ years of system development experience in at least one area - peripheral driver development / acoustic tuning / system stability & performance optimizationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related fieldExtensive experience with peripheral protocols, such as I2C, I2S, PCM, UART, SDIO, and USBExtensive experience with audio sub-system development and acoustic tuningExtensive experience in using tools and techniques to analyze system stability issues, identify bottlenecks, and optimize system performanceAbility to drive cross-team and cross-project system development activitiesPosted: June 23, 2024
