In February 2020 the company became part of Qorvo and with that the Ultra-Wideband Business Unit (UWBU) within Qorvo Mobile Products.
Summary: From Jan 2025, a full-time internship position in Systems Engineering is available for an engineering student enrolled in a Master's or PhD accredited programme. The internship is to be based at Qorvo Dublin, which is the company centre for R&D in ultrawideband (UWB) technology. The duration can be up to 7 months.
Requirements: The successful candidate should have completed their Bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and be enrolled in an MS or PhD programme.The student must have completed coursework and show a good understanding of wireless systems including analogue/RF, digital, communications theory and digital signal processing.Familiarity with either MATLAB or Python is required.Students with experience in algorithm development preferred.Good communicator with an eagerness to learn and willingness to take ownership, good analytical skills, proactive approach in solving exciting technological challenges and make an impact.Gain experience and working knowledge of ultrawideband sub-systems and related system simulation and algorithm development, as well as analogue/mixed-signal, digital and RF circuits.Learn about UWB radio and its utility to support two-way ranging and other real-time location systems (RTLS) use cases, communication systems and radar applications.Design novel algorithms to support real-world use-cases.Identify trade-offs in system implementation, and deployment constraints, either through simulation studies or through hands-on hardware experiments as required.Develop system simulations and baseband architectures.Report and present at the end of the internship on the work performed.
