Post SummaryThe Systems Librarian has operational responsibility for the Library's IT systems and equipment.
Situated in the Library's division of Content Management & Open Scholarship (CMOS), the post-holder reports to the Deputy Head, CMOS, Digital, who leads on the strategic development of the IT and digital infrastructure across the Library.
The post-holder oversees the Systems Office, a small team who maintain the IT hardware and software and support Library staff with their queries.
The post-holder liaises with the Library's unit managers, super-users and other colleagues on system and IT requirements, faults and improvements.
The post-holder is the Library's key liaison with the University's IT Services department on operational matters, acts as the primary contact for many third-party providers and their technical teams, and is instrumental to the delivery of IT projects – and the IT components of other projects.
Post status: Permanent Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Assistant Librarian 2 Salary Scale (€44,742 - €61,687 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
