Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment. The successful candidate will work with systems, software, and integration/test engineers in the QCT sensors group.
Job responsibilities include: Working with global systems and software teamsDeveloping sensor algorithms in high level languages (MATLAB, Python) including algorithm performance validationMaking effective engineering tradeoffs between performance, memory, power consumption, and computational complexityEmbedded software development in C/C++ for fixed & floating-point based designsCreating reports on algorithm evaluation results and delivering complete design and user documentationCommunication of the design, results and issues to the product management, systems and SW leadsLeading the systems projects end-to-end from requirements gathering to systems design and SW implementationMentoring and guiding junior engineersThe position is technology focused and involves participation in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies group. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field with 6+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field with 5+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related field with 3+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.Preferred Qualifications Experience in the following areas:
Understanding of basics of digital signal processing, linear algebra, probability and statisticsAdvanced Machine Learning concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning, feature extraction, classification, logistic regression, Bayesian inference and Neural NetworksFamiliarity with ML libraries and packagesEmbedded programming skills with C/C++Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environmentKnowledge of MEMs & inertial sensorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOptional – 1+ years of experience in people management, mentoring and coaching junior engineers in technical and non-technical aspects.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.*References to a particular number of years experience are for indicative purposes only.
