Job Description: The opportunity: This position is for a defined period of time. Sun Life Talent Acquisition is part of a Center of Excellence supporting all professional hiring for Sun Life businesses in Ireland. We partner with the Sun Life businesses to attract, select, and retain top talent. We believe attraction of the best talent is critical to business success. As part of the Sun Life Talent Acquisition organization, the Talent Acquisition Consultant is focused on delivering best in class talent and developing the talent pipeline for the roles and competencies most critical to the achievement of Sun Life's growth strategy.
You will have the opportunity to own and execute the overall talent acquisition strategy, process and delivery for groups within Sun Life. The ideal candidate for the Talent Acquisition Consultant role will have demonstrated strong capabilities to engage and recruit exceptional talent into critical professional roles.

Values the importance of creating memorable client and candidate experiences.Thrives on the challenge of sourcing talent and revels in the thrill of bringing them to consideration for a career opportunity at Sun Life.Supports and advocates for diversity and inclusion and understands the positive impact it has on company culture and the business bottom line.How you will contribute: Develop comprehensive knowledge of the job specifications to include experience, skills and behavioral competencies needed for success in each role.Serve as a strategic and vocal advocate for workforce diversity and inclusive work environments throughout each phase of the recruiting process.Conduct recruitment strategy meetings, qualifies and presents top talent candidates to hiring managers, facilitates debriefs and decision-making, and is successful in securing the placement of candidates.Ensure Sun Life is represented in the most accurate and appropriate way to all candidates, and personally drives the highest standards of ethical behavior for all involved in the recruiting process.Manage vendor relationships with recruitment agencies and sole traders, including agreeing Terms and Conditions with the agency, protocols for daily rate contractors, and extending/terminating contracts as necessary.Reinforce the reputation of SL Ireland by updating our external website (Sunlife.ie) and internal channels with details of open positions, Benefit plans and testimonials, as well as posting the necessary documents/policies/information to be compliant in Ireland.Communicate an attractive employee value proposition to all prospective candidates to include Sun Life's culture, commitment to diversity and inclusion, robust information on Sun Life, individual business information, the specific position, career paths at Sun Life, benefits, etc.Manage communication to key stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate updates on status and feedback.What you will bring with you: Knowledge of sourcing strategies and practices, talent acquisition processes and systems, and talent management more broadly.Ability to organize and accomplish objectives independently and proactively.Skilled in relationship building; possesses skills to quickly establish credibility and effectively manage others through influence.Outstanding lead generation and candidate conversation skills.Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity as we work in an environment of growth and change.Flexibility and resilience to adapt to multiple demands, shifting priorities and changing business conditions.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Strong time management skills – organizational skills, follow-up and attention to detail.Intellectual curiosity and drive to consistently try new methods.Strong team contributor, sharing ideas, knowledge and best practices.Self-motivated, confident, and able to work effectively with little supervision; drives for action; takes initiative; makes things happen; accepts accountability and has a positive "can do" attitude.A strong value system, excellent judgment, unquestioned integrity.Required education and skills: 2+ years of experience in a dynamic recruitment environment, either agency or company.Experience with technology (Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe) and an applicant tracking tool (Workday preferred).Job Category: Human Resources
