Junior Quantity Surveyor Location: County Louth, Ireland Project: Social Housing Development About the Role: We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a social housing development project in Co. Louth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with some experience in the industry to gain hands-on experience working on a high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation.
Support the procurement process by helping source materials and subcontractors.
Conduct site visits and assist in monitoring project progress in relation to cost control.
Help prepare interim valuations and monitor payments.
Assist with contract administration, including change orders and variations.
Provide general support to senior Quantity Surveyors and the project team.
Contribute to cost reporting and project forecasting.
Assist with the preparation of final accounts and reports.
Support the team in ensuring compliance with relevant construction regulations and health and safety requirements.
Requirements: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
0-2 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally in residential or social housing projects (though recent graduates are welcome to apply).
Strong understanding of construction processes, contract administration, and cost management.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in relevant software such as CostX or Cubit being a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
