Setting Out Engineer Location: Ballymount, Dublin, Ireland Project: Apartment Block Development Salary Bracket: €45,000 - €55,000 (depending on experience) About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join our team on a prestigious apartment block development in Ballymount, Dublin.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major construction project that will shape the local landscape.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate setting out of the project and ensuring that the construction works are carried out to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: Setting out for all aspects of the apartment block development, including foundations, structures, and drainage.
Ensuring the project is delivered in compliance with the approved plans, specifications, and local regulations.
Working closely with the Site Manager, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate execution of the construction works.
Performing site surveys and measurements, and using total stations, GPS, and other setting-out equipment to mark positions on-site.
Verifying the accuracy of all construction work against the design and drawings.
Monitoring the progress of the project and reporting any issues or deviations from the planned schedule.
Maintaining and updating as-built drawings throughout the project.
Ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to on-site.
Assisting with coordination between the design team, subcontractors, and the main contractor.
Requirements: A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as a Setting Out Engineer, preferably on large-scale residential or commercial projects.
Proficiency in using total stations, GPS, and other setting-out equipment.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues on-site.
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
