Summary: Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company based in Waterford, looking for Senior Project Engineer to deliver a multi-million euro project on site delivering on significant energy and carbon reduction targets involving the installation of a new heart pump and CUB extension.
Responsibilities: Deliver on heat pump central utilities building and utilities upgrade.
Perform procurement, acceptance of equipment & associated infrastructure on behalf of Sanofi and report regularly on project status throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance environmental, health and safety codes practices, approved project KPIs, performance standards and specifications are maintained.
Liaise with external and internal customers, suppliers, and vendors to define and deliver right first-time project deployment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey project goals, progress, and issues to stakeholders.
Support to other project participants to overcome obstacles when they present themselves.
Responsible for delivering performance metrics for budget, schedule, scope and quality adherence.
Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent Engineering discipline.
Masters an advantage.
Minimum 5+ years experience in a project management role.
Detailed knowledge of cGMP pharmaceutical environment.
Ability to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.
Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Efficiently allocating resources including manpower, materials, and finances.
Budget Management: Controlling costs and ensuring the project stays within the budget.
Ensuring the project is completed on time Familiarity with the latest technology and tools used in project management and pharmaceutical manufacturing Ability to lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
Negotiation Skills: Negotiating with contractors, suppliers, and other third parties to ensure project needs are met.
Quality Control: Implementing and overseeing quality control measures.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes.
