The Opportunity
Due to our continued growth and ambitious plans for further expansion in Ireland, we have a great opportunity for a Tax Consultant (GES) to join our diverse and progressive tax team. RSM Ireland has a growing Global Employer Services business, assisting clients across the RSM Global network on global mobility. We are a fast-growing team, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and progress their career within RSM's promotion guidelines.
The ideal candidate will be working in global mobility and will be experienced advising businesses on the payroll and related tax consequences arising from employee global mobility. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, will be skilled at efficiently managing a diverse range of assignments and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will:
Assist in the management of a portfolio of GES Clients.Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide a high standard of client service.Coordinate and work with other RSM member firms on cross-border projects.Work closely with Partners and senior management in the delivery of GES compliance and consulting services.Coach and mentor Tax Associates, including presenting in-house tax training courses.Coordinate Irish payroll advice and international payroll tax advice.Liaise with clients in a timely efficient manner, advising, researching, and resolving all relevant tax issues and technical matters on advisory assignments.Advise on SARP relief and transborder relief.Advise on taxation of share-based remuneration.Manage home and host country tax briefings for employees including high net worth individuals; oversee shadow payroll and tax equalisation work.Contribute to the development of technical knowledge and training of staff.Commercially manage a portfolio of clients.Contribute to the operational management of the tax division and take responsibility for specific areas as required.The Person
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
ITI and/or ACA or ACCA qualified.Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.Demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.Strong technical skills to deliver GES tax advisory services.Experience in coaching and mentoring staff.Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills.Strong Microsoft applications skills; Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.#RSM is an equal opportunity employer.
