Read more about our story at : are currently recruiting for a Tax Director to join the IPL team in Dublin, reporting directly to the CFO.
You will lead the global tax affairs for the group.
This is a hybrid role based in our head office in St Stephens Green, Dublin 2.

As a Tax Director at IPL You Will Lead, manage and monitor the global tax affairs for the Group, including developing and implementing the group tax policies, operating a commercial tax function, and ensuring adequate coverage of all aspects of tax.
Support the growth strategy of the business by providing tax advice to the ELT to support complex global projects, including M&A, financing, and other strategic matters, ensuring all business is conducted in the most tax-efficient manner.
Own & be responsible for all statutory direct and/or indirect tax returns, liaising with any 3rd party advisors as required.
Review transactions across North America and Europe to identify any tax issues, proposing potentially more tax-efficient ways of completing a transaction and ensuring any external advice is appropriately implemented.
Conduct tax research in support of jurisdictions in which the Group operates, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in IPL operating locations.
Manage the Group's Transfer Pricing policy with tax advisors and ensure adherence to the Group Transfer Pricing policy across the Group's operations through regular training and communication with the divisional teams.
Manage tax modelling, analysis, and budgeting.
Support the HR function in tax and mobility issues.
Coordinate with outside professional tax advisors.
Plan, direct, coordinate, and deliver cross-functional tax planning.
Provide Board level reports and presentations in support of tax strategy and strategic transactions.
Provide regular, consistent, and transparent communication and interaction with the divisional leadership teams and, as required, ELT members regarding tax obligations, audits, and changes in tax legislation impacting the Group's activities in the jurisdictions in which they operate.

Key Requirements Able to successfully lead and implement change, structure, and process and take a common-sense approach to encouraging continual cultural, technological, and operational transformation.
Experience leading, coaching, building teams, and mentoring direct reports.
Comfortable working both at a strategic and tactical level, with a demonstrated ability to be hands-on and remain close to sales and operations.
Highly analytical.
Self-starter with a positive 'can do' attitude.
ERP experience advantageous.
Professional interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualified accountant with a minimum of 7 - 10 years post-qualification experience.
Chartered Tax Advisor with relevant tax institute membership.
Ability to travel on an ad hoc basis.
