Childrens mainstream residential - Social Care Team Leader - Sligo Salary: €36,000 to €41,000 (based on experience) Are you an experienced and dedicated Social Care Team Leader seeking a rewarding career in a residential service?
Join our passionate team in Co. Sligo, providing comprehensive care for children and young persons.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and inspire a team while ensuring quality care for service users.
Create a safe and nurturing environment for children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Implement individual care plans, considering unique needs and circumstances.
Collaborate with staff for consistent care delivery.
Monitor and supervise children, responding effectively to behavioural or emotional issues.
Maintain accurate records of progress, development, and incidents.
Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and collaborate with professionals for comprehensive care.
Support educational activities and address learning or behavioural challenges.
Organise recreational and social activities, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
Handle crises and emergencies, following established protocols and collaborating with external agencies.
Stay informed about best practices and legislative changes.
Note: Team Leaders may have specific responsibilities related to the unique needs of the children in their care.
Requirements: Minimum level 7 in Social Care Alternative Qualifications Accepted: Level 8 in Psychology Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Level 7 in Counselling Professional qualification in: Youth and Community Work, Social Work , Social Sciences Teaching & Nursing, Addiction studies Candidates must have no less than 3 years' experience working in social care with children / young persons'.
