MYM Recruitment are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Sales Manager to become an integral part of our clients team.
The purpose of the role will be to generates sales by soliciting and obtaining orders; acts as the primary point of contact for customers; understanding and interpreting technical requirements; provides technical information and customer service.
Key Duties/Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, preparing quotations, lead follow- up.
Manages relationships with key accounts and works to ensure customer satisfaction at all levels; develops and maintain contacts in the customer and manufacturing communities.
Develops/reviews price quotes subject to management approval, negotiates contracts and reviews sales agreements with business customers.
Troubleshoots/resolves customer complaints and issue, follow-up on late orders, monitors open order status, solves internal problems e.g.
order scheduling, expediting, etc.
organizes and works to resolve all Quality, Shipping and Production issues for Production meetings.
Develops accounts by checking customers buying history; suggesting related and new products or applications; explaining technical features.
Coordinates on-site sales calls with Outside sales reps, conduct sales cold calls on prospective new customers and undertakes account follow-up calls.
Determines appropriate shipping methods and adjust shipping dates and production priorities, reduces/changes pricing on non-standard or new products issues return authorisations, issues non-standard restocking fees (all with prior approval).
Handles incoming calls, including order status, problem solving, etc., as needed, attends weekly sales training sessions during normal operating hours.
Essential Criteria: At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
Strong B2B experience, preferably selling manufactured products.
Confident in meeting sales goals.
Excellent customer service and team mindset.
Excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
Competent on Microsoft packages including excel.
