Technical Accounts Manager wanted for Global Reinsurance Company-Dublin City Abrivia currently recruiting for a Technical Accounts Manager to join our client, a Global Reinsurance Company, to lead a specialised technical reinsurance accounts team.
This opportunity has emerged due to recent structural changes within the team, and it presents a solid career path within a collaborative and longstanding work environment.

Your Role Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 3-4 reinsurance accounts analysts, ensuring accurate maintenance of cedant accounting records and supporting professional growth within the team.Financial Management: Oversee the month-end and quarterly financial closings, ensuring accuracy in all financial figures and reporting.Audit Coordination: Manage the annual audit process for reinsurance accounting, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.Financial Controls: Ensure the completion of all necessary reconciliations and meet both internal and external reporting deadlines.Budgeting & Forecasting: Provide accurate budgets and forecasts to aid strategic financial planning.Management Reporting: Prepare and present insightful management reports for senior leadership, supporting strategic business decisions.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure well-coordinated financial and operational alignment.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure quarterly and annual Solvency II (SII) data submissions are timely and meet international regulatory requirements.Operational Efficiency: Perform daily tasks to uphold control and performance standards, driving operational efficiency across all processes.Your Skills Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in insurance/reinsurance or relevant auditing.Team Management: Demonstrated experience managing or supervising a team of 3-4 individuals.Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for handling complex financial data.Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledgeable in accounting systems.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, including IFRS 17, is essential.Should this position be of interest to you please forward your CV or alternatively call Tadhg at 01 9052560.
