We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Manager to join our team in Poppintree, Dublin.
The Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance with legal, industry, and customer standards, while maintaining continuity and upholding these standards throughout operations.
This is a 15 month fixed term contract. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (e.g., BRCGS, ISO) by maintaining and improving robust food safety systems.Coordinate with Regulatory Authorities (such as BRC, FSAI, DAFM) for legal compliance.Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring full readiness for regulatory and customer inspections.Lead the development, implementation, and review of the site's HACCP plan.Manage non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.Maintain the Quality Management System and associated documentation.Oversee calibration, testing, and maintenance of equipment critical to quality control.Manage data collection, analysis, and reporting for validations and performance indicators.Lead the investigation and solution of product complaints, recalls, or quality incidents.Ensure robust traceability systems are in place for effective incident management.Partner with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to maintain product quality and process efficiency.Contribute to NPD by providing technical expertise and ensuring compliance.Lead and support the QA team, providing training, guidance, and performance management.Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and food safety awareness across the organisation.Minimum Requirements: 3rd level degree in food science, food technology, or similar.Minimum 5 years experience working in a Technical role within Food Manufacturing is essential and ideally within a management level.Solid understanding of the Meat Industry and its equipment and services.Flexibility (The site is operating 24/7).Excellent management and communication skills.What can we offer you?
