The Technical Program Manager II role within Guidewire Cloud Platform Infrastructure owns, plans, and delivers key cross-functional highly technical initiatives and complex long-term projects like Upgrades and Migrations by partnering closely with GWCP Engineering, Product Management, SRE, Technical Account Managers, and other PDO stakeholders. In addition to delivering on the key initiatives, the Technical Program Manager II will also support key processes such as coordinating releases, hotfixes, and emergency security issues. They will recommend, define, and measure metrics that should matter for Platform teams, lead teams in being more data-driven when making decisions, own those metrics, inspect for variances, propose corrective actions, and drive changes to improve outcomes.
This position reports directly to the Director of Program Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive Quarterly planning meetings for the supported teams and arrive at a plan.Track and report progress around those plans.Be a servant leader, helping the teams to deliver on the plans on time to the quality mark.Continuously convert chaos to clarity for the teams.Gather required data from tools like AWS, DataDog, GitHub, etc., to support decision-making in a variety of contexts.Drive practices aligned with Secure Software Development Lifecycle.Manage stakeholders' expectations proactively.Communicate program status effectively.Facilitate and lead meetings, including identification of action items and follow-up.Prepare and maintain project/release schedules with all critical tasks and related milestones.Identify, analyze, and prioritize project risk and develop response plans.Utilize software such as JIRA, Aha!, Confluence, Zoom, G-Suite, etc. REQUIRED SKILLS:Excited about backend infrastructure projects and technologies.Practical knowledge of terms like MVP and its application in developing products iteratively with Agile development teams.Knowledge of AWS or other Cloud technologies.Understanding of secure, scalable system design, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices.Familiarity with concepts of Scalability, Reliability, and Performance.Bias for getting things done in a timely manner.Possess keen sense of personal accountability. Be a strong team player.Excellent written, verbal, and collaboration skills, including presentation skills.Ability to successfully negotiate acceptable solutions to different stakeholders.Comfortable with rapidly evolving agile teams.
