Technical Quality Manager

Keohane Seafoods is recruiting for a Quality & Technical Manager to join our Growing Team.
Responsibilities: · Ensure that the Quality Assurance department is properly organized, staffed and trained to meet and achieve Plant & Departmental Goals · Serve as an advocate of our food safety culture.
· Maintain, improve, and develop systems to support the company's food safety Programs.
· Ensure compliance with Irish and EU and Regulations.
· Responsible for internal audits and assist in corrective actions when necessary.
· Work with Production/Sales/Innovation Departments to manage supplier quality and compliance.
· Monitor industry and regulatory updates, trends, and news to keep the company informed and ahead of the curve.
· Be Responsible for implementing and maintaining technical standards across the site.
· Be the lead for the technical function during customer audits and technical visits.
· Experience in trouble shooting and identifying appropriate new technologies · Managing and motivating a team.
Requirements: · Must have a qualification in a scientific discipline · 3 years plus Experience in a similar role · Experience in FMGS and Leading a Team · Understanding of food processing · Knowledge of IFS, Organic · Demonstrate a "can do" attitude · HACCP certified and strong HACCP and regulatory skills; · The above list is not exhaustive.
