Applications are invited for the following Post in the Technological University Dublin: Post: Project Coordinator (Research Officer) - Delivering Digital Literacy for Older People - School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (Specified purpose contract with initial funding of 21 months) Reference: 544/2024 Location:The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e.
Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown or Tallaght.
Hours of Work:A 37 hour working week is in operation.
Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at salary scale aligned to point (01) of the Post-Doctoral Researcher Salary Scale i.e.
€47,412 gross per annum.
Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
Incremental credit may apply in line with University policy.
Closing Date: 24th January 2025 at 5.00 p.m. (Irish time).

It is anticipated that interviews for this post will take place in week beginning 24th February 2025.
The interview assessment will be 45 minutes in length and will include a presentation of10 minutes duration.
The topic of this presentation will be as follows: Practical measures to narrow the digital divide.

Proven success in research project development, management/coordination of partnerships and administration in engaged research (Essential).
Project management experience of research and/or community projects (Essential).
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their demonstration of meeting every essential criterion so are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.
Desirable Evidence of managing project budgets (Desirable).
Evidence of participatory research and evaluation (Desirable).
Evidenceof digital skills/literacy education programmes(Desirable).
Experience of working with older people and on health and wellbeing of older people(Desirable).
Experience of cross-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research and/or community activities (Desirable).
Proficiency in creating communication materials, including graphics and interactive STEM demonstrations(Desirable).
Experience of grant applications for research related projects (Desirable).
(EU/EEA) driver's license(Desirable).

Personal attributes required for the role: Ability to work on owns initiative, manage workloads, deadlines, and responsibilities Excellent communication, writing, administration, organisational and interpersonal skills Experience of working in an academic environment, particularly related to education or public engagement in research Extensive administration experience with significant experience at a senior level.
