As the Technology Resilience Lead, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the robustness, reliability, and recoverability of Primark's infrastructure and services.
You will oversee the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive resilience strategy, ensuring our systems are capable of withstanding and recovering from disruptions to minimise operational risks.

What You'll Do: We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you'll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
Function: Establish and develop the Technology Resilience function within Primark, including building and maintaining a team to deliver the Resilience capabilities.Stakeholder Management: Business partners with senior stakeholders across Primark to enable and grow Technology Resilience across the whole business.Strategy: Set the strategic vision for the Technology Resilience function, ensuring it is communicated effectively and understood. Develop and implement supporting technology resilience strategies, policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring alignment with Business Continuity strategies.Risk Management: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify resilience concerns relevant to Primark's technology systems and platforms, both currently in production and those still in development, including the development of mitigation strategies and recommendations to address the risks.Technology Recovery Capability: Design, implement, and maintain the end-to-end Technology recovery capability in accordance with the Technology Recovery Framework. This currently covers IT Disaster Recovery for physical failures and logical data failures, such as ransomware, insider threats, and data corruption. Develop appropriate testing strategies and ensure regular testing is performed in accordance with the Technology Recovery testing framework.Technology Recovery Response: Lead the Technology Recovery incident response team in the event of a technology disaster, coordinating efforts across multiple regions, teams, and suppliers. Collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure a swift and effective response to incidents, minimising impact on global retail operations.Technology Crisis Management: Revise and maintain the Technology Crisis Management process. Plan and conduct regular Technology crisis testing, including simulations and drills. Analyse results and implement improvements based on testing outcomes.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders & managed service partners to assure and enhance resilience capabilities. Communicate resilience plans and updates to senior management and relevant partners. At least 10 years experience working at mid to senior level within technology resilience, disaster recovery, and IT operations roles. Significant knowledge of technology infrastructure, architecture, and cloud computing.Experienced in IT Service Delivery (gained from working in ITIL environments), technology business alignment, and technology transformation programmes.Ability to take an end-to-end view across technology architecture, technology operations, and IT service delivery and apply it to relevant business contexts.Experienced in growing cross-functional teams in a multi-vendor managed service environment.Experienced in handling multiple third-party suppliers and partners simultaneously. Familiar with IT Operational Processes, toolsets, and operating standards, e.g. NIST.ITIL/ IT Service Management accreditation. Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience to continually work under changing work scenarios.Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management techniques.Proficient in project management principles and practices.Familiarity with cyber resilience principles and best practices.
