Located in the heart of Cork City, Mercy University Hospital (MUH) is a voluntary, general acute hospital catering for both public and private patients.
The hospital provides approximately 325 beds and offers a wide range of specialities which provide in-patient, day patient, outpatient and emergency services open 24 hrs.

We currently have a job opening for a Temporary Consultant Radiologist - Mercy University Hospital, Cork, 37 hours per week (Under the Governance of Mercy University Hospital Cork CLG.) This is an appointment to the South/South West Hospitals Group on a Public Only Consultants' Contract 2023 by the Health Service Executive. The post is a specific purpose contract to provide cover for a period of leave from February 2025 for approximately 9 months. The initial commitment for this post will be to Mercy University Hospital for 37 hours per week. This post may be subject to restructuring in the future to facilitate the reorganisation of acute services in line with new clinical models of acute and community services. It is noted that the post must be congruent with the requirements of, and facilitate implementation of national health policy, the HSE's National Clinical Programmes including commitment to deliver the relevant performance outcomes. Eligibility Criteria - Candidates: Professional Qualifications Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of Radiology.
