The purpose of this 6 month contract role is to support the management and maintenance of the on-premise/AWS Proving and Pre-Production environments, as well as enhancing solutions and capabilities across the Environment Management Service (EMS) function.
Key Accountabilities Manage Stakeholders use of shared resources using plans, schedules etc.Maintain working environments, initiate troubleshooting with key stakeholders as requiredMonitor environment for any unusual activity and initiate investigation off the back of thatMaintain fidelity across the environments, performing periodic checks to identify anything that is out of sync and initiate resolution where requiredReview User Access for the environments, ensuring least privilege is being followedCoordinate activities between projects and functions to ensure the environments are used as efficiently as possibleCoordinate deployments to ensure all teams are aware of ongoing activity and there are no unexpected outcomesDrive process to decommission servers where identified as not requiredAllocate costs to projects based on usageMonitor tooling to ensure that it is functioning properlyReview and approve change requestsRaise and assign service requests where necessaryWeekly and monthly reporting to senior managementEssential Skills & Experience 4-5 years of Technical Project Management experienceFamiliarity with Enterprise solutions spanning on-premises and Cloud using UNIX, Windows and back-end systems like mainframe/AS400Experience with O/S, Infrastructure, MiddlewareExcellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-taskExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with ability to present complex ideas in clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical groups.Analytical and problem-solving abilityExperience in driving Continuous Improvements in the team/areaAbility to develop and deliver solutions with limited (or changing) informationDesirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience Degree or other relevant qualification.
