Test Manager (Contract)

My client is actively looking for a Test Manager for a daily rate contract role based in their offices in Galway.

Hybrid working options are available for this contract.

There is currently a need for one Test Manager (intermediate) to develop test plans to test software features (developed using .Net framework and toolsets, C#, MVC, and LINQ), including system regression testing. The Test Manager will be responsible for the setup of test environments and running test cases. They will report on progress and work with the Information Services & Development section together with wider service teams to support quality improvements.

The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role:

Develop and carry out test plans for software system testing (developed using .Net framework and toolsets, C#, MVC, and LINQ), including system regression testing. Setup test environments and run test cases. Report on progress and work with the software development teams to support quality improvements. Utilise test automation tools to improve test efficiency and to support cross-platform testing and load testing. Integration of code testing and continuous delivery to the development process. Provide input to project plans and status reports. The following Experience/Competencies/Skillsets are applicable to this Role:

Test Plan Definition: At least 2 years' experience with the definition of test plans through analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications and working with software clients to support collaborative development of test cases, including for User Acceptance Testing, in the last 5 years.

Test Case Execution: Experience with creating and executing test scripts for new functionality and for regression testing, including setup of test environments (Microsoft based), and validation against a range of clients, in the last 5 years.

SQL Query Language: Ability to query databases using SQL tools to validate data.

Test Automation: Experience with test automation performance testing using tools such as Selenium or equivalent.

Tracking and Reporting: Experience with tracking of defects, providing reports on system quality, and working with development teams to support issue resolution.
