Job Description We are looking for a self motivated individual to help move forward the next generation public safety experience, and to work with a team of top experienced professionals to enable mission critical services and solutions.In this position you will work as a test manager responsible for leading a team of system test engineers to develop and execute test strategies for future system releases.
Overall responsibilities will also include:Hire and build a team of talented engineers within the organizationMentor and foster career growth of individuals in your teamWork closely with key stakeholders at different geographic locations to drive overall goals of ASTRO Engineering organization and to meet specific test commitments on plan and with high quality.Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and development teams to ensure testing requirements are well-defined and integrated into project plans.Build a culture of continuous improvement to drive quality, efficiency, and productivity while fostering a culture of innovation with respect to test processes, methodologies, and toolsDevelop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and methodologies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.Basic RequirementsBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.Significant professional experience in leading people and teams.Successful track record in developing high performing test teams through hiring, retaining and mentoring team members.Desired Skills:Extensive knowledge of testing protocols and results analysisExtensive knowledge of production principles and proceduresExperience with test management and defect management tools - JIRA, TestRail, etc.Ability to coordinate and manage complex testing programs, including planning, scheduling, and oversight.Experience in working with large geographically distributed teamsFamiliarity with Devops concepts and toolsStrong verbal and written communication and presentation skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work well in a cross-functional team environmentUnderstanding of software development process: development environments, version control, testing, cybersecurity and agile development processesIn return for your expertise, we'll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
