Head of Collections reports to the Director of Hugh Land Gallery.
They will lead the collections team, and manage all of the records on the collections including new research.
They will have sufficient expertise to contribute significantly to the gallery's programmes and collection policies including global collecting and diversity.
They will have the expertise to contribute to building the collection in depth and breadth.
They will work collegially and supportively with the gallery team.
They will have the necessary scholarship to contribute to publications on the collection and they will bring forward to the director innovative, scholarly and engaging proposals for collection displays and exhibitions.
They will have an excellent understanding of the role donation and legacy plays in building on the collection.
The Head of Collections will work closely with conservation and all areas of programming and will manage their designated budgets and administrative responsibilities including procurement and compliance efficiently and effectively .
Salary: 55,090 - 67,304 We are recruiting for the position of Head of Collections, Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin City Council.
