Our Traffic Management Operatives are a key team of people trained and experienced in the setup, maintenance and removal of temporary traffic management equipment for site works, road & lane closures and diversions for our Networks & Events contracts across Ireland.

Ensuring you are responsible for yourself and/or team members who report into you.Survey & plan the traffic management layout required for the required site works.Complete site risk assessments, carry out regular site checks and make relevant equipment adjustments as required based on site conditions and requests from the client or general public.Install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management equipment as per chapter 8 requirements and provided Traffic Management Plans.Carry out "Stop & Go" activities, setup temporary traffic light systems, manage pedestrian walkways and road closures as required.Ensure a safe working environment is maintained for crews, pedestrians and road users while working on footpaths & roadways.Safety load and unload Traffic Management equipment from vehicles at our yard and site locations.Comply with all of Actavo's safe working policies and procedures.Ensure PPE & Equipment is in good working order and use as prescribed.Represent Actavo and our clients in a positive and professional manner and manage public queries in an efficient and effective way.Person SpecificationExperience and QualificationsSLGSafe PassManual HandlingDriving licenseMinimum 1 year's onsite traffic management experienceSkills & CompetenciesTechnicalAbility to understand site maps and following written and spoken guidelines.Ability to use mobile devices and Apps for managing & documenting works.Excellent communication skills and able to operate a 2-way radio system.Class B driving license for driving company vehicles.InterpersonalStrong communication skills in English and confident communicating with people.A team player, happy to support other members of the team and work well in a small fast-paced team is essential.Business SkillsA good level of written and spoken English is required.The ability to organise your own workload and deal with conflicting priorities, while ensuring timelines are met even at short notice.PersonalFlexible working hours and ability to work evenings and weekends as requested.Comfortable to work outdoors for extended periods of time.ACT 2
