QQI Train the Trainer Courses & CertificationWe have Train the Trainer course dates available every month. Our suite of courses includes QQI Training Delivery & Evaluation, QQI Training Needs Identification & Design, and the QQI Special Purpose Award. Learn more in our PDF Guide or find your course below. Our Train The Trainer courses are designed to equip you with the skills you need to become a certified, professional trainer. Each course listed below focuses on a different skill-set for your portfolio, including training design, delivery, and evaluation.
Training Delivery and Evaluation is our most popular Train The Trainer course. It is often called "The New Train The Trainer". We run this course every month, with limited places on each date.
Revolutionise your Business with In-Company TrainingIn-company training is a focused approach to learning, tailored to answer your organisation's goals and priorities.
Our public Train the Trainer courses run in Dublin throughout the year.
We hold our courses in venues close to the M50 and outside Dublin city centre (helping you to avoid the traffic!). All training locations offer complimentary parking for delegates.
Train the Trainer is a programme for equipping those who must train others with the skills they need to do this.
The most popular Train the Trainer certifications are awarded by QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland). All of our Train the Trainer courses lead to QQI Level 6 awards.
You can learn more about each of these courses by clicking on the name above to visit the course pages.
We supply course stationery and lunch during training, so for the most part you will not need to bring anything with you.
One exception occurs with Training Delivery and Evaluation. As part of your assessment, you will complete a skills demonstration on the last day of training. You will need to bring your own props and handouts etc. for this. You can learn more about this by reading the FAQ on the Training Delivery and Evaluation course page.
Train the Trainer was the name of a FETAC Level 6 qualification (code: E30179). It was a hugely popular course and certification until it was deactivated by QQI in 2014.
QQI was formed to combine FETAC, HETAC and NQAI. The Train the Trainer course was deactivated to replaced by 2 more in-depth programmes, Training Delivery and Evaluation and Training Needs Identification and Design.
Training Delivery and Evaluation is very similar in content to the old Train the Trainer programme.
For either Train the Trainer course (Training Delivery and Evaluation and Training Needs Identification and Design), the certification process is the same:
Attend the training course.Complete the accompanying assessment work in the 8 weeks following training.Submit your assessment work.Upon successfully passing your assessment, you will be awarded certification.Becoming a professional trainer requires focusing on several elements.
You must complete training to understand the skills needed by all professional trainers. It is important to achieve a recognised qualification to establish your credibility with potential employers.
Building your confidence and developing your unique training style through regular practice by delivering training helps to solidify your skills.
Finally, continued self-evaluation and further training will help you to stay at the top of your game.
Our Training Delivery and Evaluation Course is 4 days long. Our Training Needs Identification and Design Course is 3 days long.
Both of these courses take place over consecutive, midweek days. Each training day runs from 9.30 am (to give you extra time to get started in the morning!) until 5.00pm.
The trainers delivering our Train the Trainer courses bring their wealth of professional training experience to each programme. They are qualified and experienced, with versatile skills and a knack for building confidence and helping you to identify your strengths and delivery style.
Assessment work, rather than a sit-down exam accompanies each of these courses in order to gain certification.
You can get more details about the assessments for each course by clicking on the course name above to visit the webpage.
Recognised certification and a clear understanding of how to design and deliver an effective training session are essential for anyone who wants to train others in any kind of professional capacity.
Attending a Train the Trainer course will also help you to gain confidence in your own training style and ability to train others.
All of our Train the Trainer programmes are available for in-company team training. You can learn more about how this works by visiting our in-company Train the Trainer page .
