The Role:
Trainee accounting role within the European Technology Finance team. This role will rotate between the multiple disciplines within the team, therefore gaining a broad knowledge and skills. You will receive competitive remuneration and a comprehensive study package which will include tutorial and exam fees, study leave and access to a mentor.
The Team:
The role will be part of a team providing financial business partnering, budgeting, management accounting, reporting and forecasting services to the wider organisation. This team provides financial objectivity, challenge and insight into European Technology's finances and the performance of technology change programmes. It provides Senior Leaders with support making effective decisions that drive business performance and the achievement of the division's financial and strategic objectives.
Role Responsibilities:Engage with European Technology Change teams to understand and report on project performance and prepare monthly financial outlooksSupport in monthly management accounts process & reporting, including participation in forecasting and budgeting processAnalyse month end variances and investigate drivers.Account for accruals and prepaymentsProduce recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision makingReport on fixed assets in line with company accounting policiesAssist with accounting system developments and process improvement / automation initiativesEnsure compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines for accounting proceduresReport and reconcile Intercompany positionsSupport headcount and taxation reporting needs of the businessNecessary Skills and Qualifications:A relevant third level degree (Accountancy / Business related a bonus) with 2.1 Honours (preferred), who has commenced / is about to commence studying towards ACCA qualificationThe successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation.Enthusiastic and able to represent the company in a professional manner.Good attention to detail and good interpersonal skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenGood experience and understanding of Microsoft OfficeKey Competencies:Communication and InfluencingDrive for ResultsProblem Solving and Decision MakingPlanning and OrganisingTeam Working and Cross Functional CollaborationAbout us:
