Reporting to the Investment and Reporting team lead and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the Trainee Accountant will be strongly involved in ensuring the provision of timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, supporting the quarter-end processes, regulatory returns, and internal Allianz Group reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Working on tasks across different areas within the Finance functionContributing to the monthly & quarterly closing processProcessing bookings in our accounting systems, in particular in SAPInvolved in treasury tasks: managing cash, banking, and payment tasksSupporting day-to-day operations e.g. fixed income portfolio accountingSupporting the Solvency II regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of IrelandContributing to and providing input for the annual external auditInvolved in planning/forecastingQualification: 3rd level college/university degreePart qualified accountant progression through the ACCA/ACAExperience working with Excel to an intermediate level including managing and mining data using ExcelCurious to expand own field of expertiseExperience & Skills: Financial Services experience is an advantageSelf-starter willing to collaborate closely with colleaguesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsBeing open to learn and to challenge existing processesAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
