Transcend is a global business transformation program that will modernize our foundational transactional processes and harmonize them into one "clean" ERP as a standardized platform for growth and efficiency gains. This program will simplify the Pharmaceutical ERP landscape from 7 to 1, standardizing processes to have a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose digital backbone that will enable us to support the Pharmaceutical business with agility. Additionally, the program will remediate the end-of-life system exposure that we risk towards the end of this decade.
The Senior Manager plays a critical leadership role with the J&J Innovative Medicine (IM) Transcend team and serves as a member of the Project Management Office. The Senior Manager is accountable for serving as a program lead for one of the planned releases over all aspects of project planning, project management, risk management, resource management, and stage gate readiness. They will also ensure appropriate project management tools are implemented and used by the collective team.
Key Responsibilities: Build and lead project milestones, plan, RAID/Cardio log, rhythm, and cadenceLead daily and weekly program team cadence and meetings and reportingPartner with peers to ensure resources, timelines, and budget objectives are met for the programDrive implementation of program methodology, including relevant templates, tools, methodology, controls, and cadenceLeverage and scale existing assets and standard processesEnsure program timeliness and financial health are appropriately handledLead one or more sub-phases of program delivery as needed (i.e. Testing, Business Sim, Cutover, etc.)Handle cross-program interdependencies, issues, and challenges by working with respective collaborators to implement controls, cadence, and risk mitigationsEnsure cross-program workstreams (Testing, Cutover, Hypercare, etc.) are coordinated and performing per planDrive standard methodologies, scale, leverageability, and resource optimizationWork with the Business Cutover, Hypercare, and Business Test Leads to ensure system deployments are in line with Business testing, Compliance validation, and qualification protocolsEnthusiastically seek to promote standard methodology and continuous improvement principles across Functional system deploymentsWork across multiple teams to align on timelines, milestones & results to enable overall release readinessQualifications Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree is requiredCertification such as PMP / FPX, APICS, and/or Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence are preferredExperience and Skills: Required: Minimum 8 years of relevant work experienceProven experience and strong knowledge within Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial Operations, or large transformation programsMinimum 2 years of Program Management experience (preferably on large, sophisticated business transformation programs)Hands-on project management/delivery experience, including experience leading projects, timelines, and organizational changeExperience with Agile MethodologyExperience leading/managing/developing people (direct or indirect reports)Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate to reach a desired resultStrong communication to create clear and concise messaging to leadership and the ability to work well in teams, cross-functionally, and with all levels of the organization, as well as both internally and externallyPreferred: Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or related industryExperience with JIRA or equivalent project management toolsSAP or other major ERP implementation experienceOther: Requires proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionallyRequires up to 25% domestic and international travelRequires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option for two remote workdays each weekThe compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 USD to $207,000 USD. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
