PE Global Recruitment are delighted to be working with an international engineering consultancy looking to recruit a Transport Major Projects Manager to join the team.
This is a full time, permanent role based in either the Cork or Galway office working on a hybrid basis.
The Role: This organisation is one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.
They are seeking a Transport Major Projects Manager for road, rail, public transport and active travel schemes throughout Ireland.
The candidate must be a Chartered Engineer and should have extensive experience in planning and design of major transport projects, ideally including giving evidence at Oral Hearing for EIAR and CPO.
The candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take on responsibility, comfortable leading a team and with excellent client management skills.
The role will involve team building and leadership, mentoring staff, managing planning and design of transport projects throughout Ireland, delivering EIAR and CPO, preparing and administering construction contracts for public and private clients.
Desirable Skills / Attributes: Extensive relevant experience in a consultancy environment.Educated to degree level (Level 8/9).Chartered Engineer.Computer literate and able to work efficiently with Microsoft Office.Knowledgeable of relevant design standards and with the ability to transfer this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.Experience of design and build projects.Experience in planning and design of transport schemes in Ireland, including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, procurement processes, contract administration and construction supervision.Full Irish / EU driving licence.Personal qualities: Must be an excellent communicator.Must be able to deal confidently with clients, staff reports and senior managers.Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.High level of personal integrity and commitment to upholding company values.Flexible approach with ability to multi-task and prioritise.Positive outlook and approachable manner.Highly motivated to achieve personal and organisational goals.Comfortable working in a team or individually as required.Interested candidates should submit an updated CV.
