Transport Manager

On behalf of my client, a long-established transport and distribution company in Co. Cavan, I am recruiting Transport Manager.
You'll oversee all logistics and distribution activities for the company.
Responsibilities: Manage logistics and distribution throughout Ireland.
Oversee contractor relationships to meet financial, logistical, and customer delivery targets.
Lead transport teams, ensuring training, health and safety compliance, and development opportunities.
Analyse logistics and transport to identify inefficiencies and collaborate with other departments.
Ensure full compliance with health and safety, especially RSA regulations.
Handle fleet administration, contractual processes, and associated costs.
Monitor KPI's to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Coordinate between departments to meet customer delivery time frames within company KPI's.
Requirements: Experience in transport management.
Third-level education in transport management, supply chain, or a related field.
Strong IT skills, including ERP systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proven leadership skills.
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
