Role Profile Our client, who is an established and growing business, are looking to recruit an experienced and influential Transport Manager to join their team based in Dublin.
Reporting into the Operations Director, you'll lead the transport strategy which includes 3PL management and in-house operations, with a focus on compliance and improving both efficiency & sustainability.
The role is based near the airport, and you'll be based onsite Monday to Friday.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with Transport team to contribute to yearly plans to improve business performance through Transport operationsLead daily end-to-end transport teams, developing and improving tactical and strategic plans to drive performanceLead and coach the Transport team to deliver against business objectives and goalsOwnership of compliance, health &safety and sustainability across the Transport functionSupport the ongoing performance of all associated Transport Management SystemsManage 3PL partners and ensure SLA's are adhered to, addressing any issues in service promptlyDrive CI initiatives across the transport function, with focus on improving service to both internal and external partnersLead the recruitment, selection, evaluation and development of the teamSkills & Experience RequiredAnalytical thinker with strong problem-solving skillsStrong leadership with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels including driver managementProven track record of negotiation and cost-saving with transportExperience using a variety of TMS - system implementations would be desirableMust have experience of managing hauliers/ 3PL/ sub-contractors - including SLA reviewsExperience with Six Sigma, LEAN, or similar quality management methodologiesPrevious experience working in a unionised environment would be beneficialWant to recruit a similar role?Cast UK is a leading executive consultancy, providing national recruitment solutions to both clients and candidates.
