A reputable freight company in Ireland is seeking a Domestic Transport Planner to support continuous growth within their domestic distribution department. This role is ideal for a transport planner or administrator with experience in logistics and warehousing who seeks to advance their career with a dynamic company operating across Ireland, the UK, and globally. Responsibilities & Duties: To complete the day-to-day processing of import manifests and bookings in line with company policy and procedures. To meet the operational day to day delivery needs of customers in the most cost efficient and effective manner. Responsible for ensuring that files are managed accordingly, and that billing and costing are input and processed as per company procedures and time frames. Responsible for keeping the customer fully informed on order progression and any deviations, exceptions or changes that may arise from time to time. Communicating with other departments within the company as well as external parties to resolve discrepancies To display and promote a positive work environment through respecting & supporting work colleagues in the completion of all duties as directed. Comply fully with the defined operating procedures (SOP's) and processes. Comply fully with the administration duties inclusive of investigating, sourcing, processing, and inputting into reports or other reports as requested in a timely and efficient manner. Create and distribute delivery and performance reports for stakeholders within the business Assist in other functions within Operations on a project basis when requested Minimum Requirements: Previous experience in a Logistics or Transport planning role. A minimum of 2 years' experience would be a distinct advantage Strong systems skills, ERP, excel etc. Knowledge of the Logistics/Freight forwarding industry is a distinct advantage Good knowledge of the UK and Ireland would be beneficial High level of organisation with attention to detail Good level of numeracy, literacy and analytical Good communication skills with proven work performance results. Full time permanent
Package:
€34k to €39k (DOE) + Benefits
