Do you have a knack for managing transport planning operations and a passion for ensuring efficient, high-quality service?
As the Transport Planning Manager, you will join an experienced team of Transport Planners and oversee the smooth operation of the movement of 120+ vehicles throughout Ireland.
You'll be the first point of contact for escalated driver and customer issues, working closely with your team to resolve problems quickly and maintain high service standards.
The Role: Managing the Transport Planning team, providing training, conducting reviews, and ensuring all roles are fulfilled effectively.
Overseeing fleet management in coordination with the Fleet Manager, ensuring all servicing and repairs are completed on schedule.
Handling escalated driver and customer complaints, coaching your team to deal with issues effectively, and escalating persistent problems as needed.
Ensuring that contracts are serviced to the highest standards, with all admin and paperwork in order.
Conducting regular staff reviews and performance evaluations, supporting ongoing staff development.
Producing reports and attending meetings to contribute to continuous improvement of the operation Who We're Looking For: Proven Experience: Recent experience in a Transport Manager or Senior Transport Planner role within the logistics industry is essential.
Geographical Knowledge: A strong understanding of Ireland's geography Digital Proficiency: High-level IT skills are necessary, as the entire operation is digital.
Transport Legislation Knowledge: A good grasp of transport laws and regulations to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
Problem Solver: Ability to think on your feet and solve issues as they arise, maintaining a calm and structured approach.
