The Role Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Transport Team Leader in Dublin 22. This is a permanent, full-time role.

Responsibilities include:

Allocate customer sales to transportation options in a cost-effective and efficient manner for domestic, import, and export deliveries. Plan and manage transport routes, including linehauls, for UK and Ireland operations. Ensure all customer delivery requests within the UK and Ireland are fulfilled. Maintain strong relationships with hauliers and customers. Generate reports and delivery schedules for customers and internal departments. Communicate with Customer Services, Customs, and Sales to resolve issues that may impact delivery times, ensuring customers are updated promptly. Collaborate with the Sales team to confirm accurate order details before scheduling deliveries. Work closely with Customs to ensure accurate information is provided for collections and deliveries. Manage workload independently, multitasking across various communication platforms with customers. Keep accurate records and provide timely information when needed. Maintain a high standard of work, taking responsibility for task completion. Meet performance targets and deadlines within agreed time frames. Show initiative, confidence, and the ability to work independently. Uphold company values and deliver excellent customer service. Foster positive relationships and communication within the company. Continuously seek ways to improve performance and service delivery for customers. The Person Minimum qualifications include:

Must hold a valid Category B driving license. Experience in cost-efficient job planning. 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong time management and ability to adhere to timetables. Good geographical knowledge of Ireland. Positive and efficient work attitude. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in literacy and numeracy with attention to detail. Flexibility in working hours and shift patterns to meet business needs. Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing needs.
