Qualifications and Requirements BSc.
in Radiography or equivalent Minimum of 3 years experience in PET/CT CORU Registered Role Responsibilities Essential that the appropriate candidate can carry out general and highly complex PET/CT and Radiographic procedures ensuring high professional standards of work are achieved and maintained while abiding by strict current legislation.
Implement and maintain a quality assurance programme for the Department.
Regularly liaise with the physicist on safety issues and other operational issues as appropriate.
Ensure a high standard of patient care is maintained.
Carry out regular audits in the department to aide quality improvement initiatives.
Allocate workload to facilitate efficient workflow and maintenance of service user throughput.
To ensure that the three principles of radiation protection, namely justification, optimisation (ALARA) and dose constraints / limits are adhered to.
Report any malfunction of defects in equipment to the Radiology Services Manager or deputy.
Support the Radiology Services Manager in the implementation of initiatives aimed at improving and developing the service.
