Data-Driven xApps Conflict Management in Open-RAN
This project is funded by SFI research centre CONNECT and aims to develop innovative strategies for managing conflicts between multiple xApps in Open Radio Access Networks (Open-RAN).
Open-RAN represents a significant shift from single-vendor to multi-vendor deployments, allowing for more competition and integration of AI/ML functionalities.
However, this approach creates challenges, such as conflicting network parameter changes by independently operating xApps.
The project focuses on creating a comprehensive framework using game theory and AI/ML-based prediction models to proactively detect and resolve both direct and indirect conflicts between xApps, enhancing network performance and reliability.
