The Dance Studio (UCC and Bollinger Family Space) provides space for artists to engage in a programme of work to interact with other artists in residence, exhibiting artists, our public, and our unique rural location at research, development, and production stages.
Uillinn provides a vibrant creative hub and an extensive programme of exhibitions, performances, and events. There is a strong emphasis on making connections, networking, and working with our geographical, social, and community contexts. Priority is given to artists who show a strong commitment to public and audiences and proposals that show relevance to our venue location and facilities.
The Residency programme offers practical supports including studio space, key holder privileges, wifi, café facilities, technical, and administrative support. The Dance Studio is located on Level 3 of Uillinn, is 56 metres square, and is fully accessible throughout. It is double height and equipped with a sprung wooden floor, marley, mirrors, barre, and sound system. A changing room with a shower is available on Level 4. Weekend and evening access can be facilitated.
This is a non-accommodation residency. Uillinn does not offer a stipend for the duration of these studio Research or Production Residency Awards. We recommend that artists apply to their own Arts Councils, Local Authorities, etc., to source funding for accommodation, travel, and expenses. See also the EU Artist Mobility Scheme www.i-portunus.eu.
We aim to make the process as simple and clear as possible, so please make contact if you have any queries or would like more information on access requirements.
